Qing Jing Farm 清境農場

Passing native forests, through towering gorges, you can submerge yourself in the fresh air and the scenic wild greenery of the QingJing Veterans Farm.The QingJing Veterans Farm is situated at the Jen-Ai Town of Nan-Tou County. The Farm has been opened to public since February 20th, 1961. The Cingjing Veterans Farm is 1,750 meters above the sea. The weather is generally mild all year round. The Farm produces various fruits including peaches, pears, plums, kiwi fruit, and high land vegetables. There are some facilities in the farm such as the Tourist Center, the Green Green Grasslands, the Small Swiss Garden, the Recreation Center for visitors, the Shou-Shan Park, the Guest House and a Stock Nurturing Center.

Danshui 淡水

Danshui is a sea-side town in northern Taiwan in the 19th century. It is named after the Danshui River; the name means "fresh water". This beautiful small town is popular as a site for viewing the sun setting into the Taiwan Strait. The city is popular with visitors from Taipei and boasts many historical atttractions, and is a families and couples on holidays.

Situated along Danshui River, the town features a vivid street which is full of traditional shops and special local stores. There are some local specialties snacks and drink must try such as Iron eggs (鐵蛋), A-ghey (阿給), Danshuei fish balls (淡水魚丸), Fish crisps (魚蘇), and Sour plum drink (酸梅湯). And also, visitors may take a cruise ride to the Fisherman's Wharf or Bali Village; both of them are famous spots when coming to Danshui.

The Tamsui Ferry Pier are located near the north end of the waterfront area and offer ferries across the river to Bali Township, as well as Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf further north.

Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf (淡水漁人碼頭) is located further downstream from the town itself and offers a boardwalk, chic coffee shops and food windows, and some seafood restaurants. Fisherman's Wharf is also a departure point for tourist boats traveling along Taiwan's scenic northeast coast. The "Lover's Bridge", a single slanted tower cable stay pedestrian bridge, that is modeled after a sailing ship's mast and rigging, spans the harbor. The bridge's illumination changes color at night, making this area a favorite with local couples and romantics, and is also a popular site for shooting Taiwanese drama serials. Outdoor concerts are sometimes held in the amphitheater, and some of the restaurants feature live music at times.

Yang Ming Shan 阳明山

Yangmingshan National Park is located between Taipei City and Taipei Country. Yangmingshan National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Taiwan. It features volcanic formations and fragrant blooming flowers during all four seasons. Because of the variety of beautiful plants and colorful flowers that flourish in the park, some people regard Yangmingshan National Park as the “backyard of Taipei”. Due to its tropical climate, Yangmingshan is an ideal location for plants and animals to grow.

The park is characterized by a large clock made of flowers. Water runs around the flower clock and music is played every hour. The clock is the characteristic of Yangming Park. Opposite the clock is a statute of late president Chiang Kai Shek; on both sides of the statue are the cypresses planted by president Chiang himself. The Xinhai Guangfu Building was completed in 1971, right in the center of the park. In addition, there is a statue of Wang Yang Ming, the famous Chinese scholar in the 17th century.

Nowadays, Yangmingshan National Park has become increasingly popular amongst Taipei citizen as well as foreigners. It is one of the best choices for families, couples, friends, and hikers to visit. The park also features popular scenic sites such as Qingtiangang and the Zhuzihu Scenic Spot. Besides that, visitors may also enjoy delicious wildlife cuisine at the national park.

Yangmingshan is all about relaxation and recuperation. It is the first place Taipei citizens think of when stressed out or feeling run down. Fill your lungs full of fresh mountain air, let your eyes rest on miles of lush green hills, and let your body melt away in a milky sulphur bath. Really, Yangmingshan National Park is one of the perfect places to get close to the nature in Taipei City!

YELIU GEOPARK 野柳地质公园

Yeliu is a famous scenic attraction on the coast of northern part of Taiwan Island. Yeliu park's amazing rock formations, etched into almost recognizable shapes, sprout rom a desolate sand stone landscape. A number of rock formations have been given imaginative names based on their different shapes. The most well-known is the "The Queen's Head" (女王頭), an iconic image in Taiwan and an unofficial emblem for the town of Wanli. Other formations include "The Fairy Shoe", "The Bee Hive", "The Ginger Rocks" and "The Sea Candles." Some of the rock formations also looks like mushrooms, it just depends how you imagine them.

There are still many other strange rocks on the sea shore. You can see some rocks have a round hole on the ground everywhere. The hole usually contains some round stones and is filled with seawater. Standing on top of the stones, you can enjoy the nice sea view and the relax feeling.

Nearby the Yeliu park's has an Ocean World. The Ocean World is the first Ocean World in Taiwan. You can see different marine animal or oceanic species and many different shows such as dolphin show or sea lion show, except the shows, the springboard diving and the ocean tunnel takes you to a trip to enjoy the amazing ocean world and to see how those special creation lives under the world.
